Oatley Altar

Architect Sidney Rofe approached Bailey interiors to create a pointed barrel vault ceiling for a residence in Oatley. The idea was to create an altar area that replicated the feel of a Gothic catherdral. The pointed barrel vault ceiling, including the exposed curved ribs certainly achieved the results. During production, a scaled model needed to be constructed due to the complexity of placing a round window, with the spandral arch surround across a curved arched surface.
