The Year Ahead

The Year Ahead

There's plenty in store for Bailey's in 2009. Here's a small sample of some of the activity that lies ahead.

1. Our service will be able to produce more types of mouldings as we establish a bigger focus in the restoration and reproduction market.

2. We will advance the quality of our products by continuing to establish new production methods.

3. This year our extensive showroom will include new mouldings for customers to view in-person.

4. More demand for our experience, innovation and skill in major projects. The restoration of Marrickville Town Hall is one possible job on the horizon. This would be another fine example of what Bailey Interiors is able to achieve in this very interesting and specialised field.

Welcome,

This month we look back at the exciting achievements of the year that has just past while previewing what's in store for our business in 2009.

2008 in Review

What a year 2008 was for Bailey interiors. It was a business season to remember as we managed to complete some important project innovations which we    feel will take us from strength to strength in the months that lie ahead. The completion of our R & D Research & Development programme for a new manufacturing process on our equipment paved the way for the installation of an Austrian-based cornice machine which helped produce cornice which previously had to be completed by hand. This masterstroke in the production process can now be viewed online.

This new manufacturing process allows us to maintain using cutting edge technology and equipment which enables Bailey's to produce high quality products at competitive prices.

The positive flow-on effect from this came in the form of plastering work which maintained its strength and consistency for the extremes of outside temperatures such as heavy rain and wind. One fine example of this were the specialised columns and facias that were  used by an exclusive house in Rose Bay.

National demand for our product saw us undertake and complete jobs in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth as well as the inner & outer areas of the Sydney metropolitan.

Some of our job highlights included the restoration of the south Steyne Hotel in Manly, the Qantas domestic terminal at Sydney airport, the Doncaster Shopping Centre in Melbourne. We also moulded and supplied acoustic panels to clients in Perth while plaster ceiling domes and special plaster cornice were sent to Hong Kong. Bailey's expertise was also consulted in restoring special mouldings for St Bridgets Catholic Church in Marrickville.

Overall it was a busy and productive year which Bailey's will look to consolidate  on in 2009.
